Supervisory Board

Orolia’s Board of Directors is made up of five members. The board meets regularly and is chaired by Jean-Yves Courtois.

The Board selects the projects deemed to be most in line with the main focus of the Orolia group. Therefore, it has a key role in the group’s strategic management and in corporate governance. The Board approves the latest statutory accounts and budgets, targets partnerships and acquisitions, and guides subsidiary projects.

JYC

Jean-Yves COURTOIS
Previously Chairman and CEO of Temex. In 2001 was appointed business unit manager at Thales Microsonics later becoming CEO and completing the sale of the unit to Temex in 2002. Earlier positions were as head of strategy and business development at Thales components division and head of Thomson CSF’s (later Thales’) Laser Optronics department. Until 1998, he was chief scientific counsellor at the French department of defense following academic work in quantum physics.


Alex_Dayon Alexandre DAYON
He has over 10 years experience in the field of databases and software tools. Alexandre Dayon is Vice President of SalesForces.com. Prior, he founded InStranet company, and he was part of the Business Objects founding team (the world's leading provider in business intelligence software) since 1996 and Vice President in charge of R&D. In that position, he also contributed with his vision in developing products and managing a team of engineers based in San Jose, California and Paris.


Henri_magnan Henri MAGNAN
He began his career as Engineer in aeronautics systems at CSF, then in the field of underwater acoustic.
He became technical and industrial Director of underwater activities at TH-CSF. The activity develops considerably and absorbs Alcatel teams in 1986. He is named Deputy Managing Director, then, in 1990, he’d become Managing Director of the company. In 1992, he is CEO of Thomson Electronic Tubes, another subsidiary of TH-CSF, and becomes, in 1999 Deputy Managing Director of Thales in charge of the Telecommunications components branch.
   
   
Stéphane RATEL
He began his career as Director of Venturi Competition before setting up his own Motorsport Promotion company, specialized in the organization of official Championships and Series for National and International Automobile clubs and Sport Federations. Stéphane Ratel is President and CEO of SRO Motorsport Group, which promotes the FIA GT and GT3 European Championships, and is a partner with the ACO, organizer of the prestigious 24h of Le Mans, in the promotion of the Le Mans Series.


 
Erik VAN DER KAAY
Erik is a Board member of RF Micro Devices Inc. (Nasdaq GS :RFMD) and Ball Corporation (NYSE BLL), headquartered in Broomfield, CO. and parent company of Ball Aerospace and technologies Corp., since 2004; Erik van der Kaay is the previous CEO of Datum, the American leader in the field of atomic clocks and synchronization systems purchased in 2002 by Symmetricom, whose Erik chaired the board of directors until 2003.
