This Orolia PNT Coffee Talk™ will focus on ultra-precise timing and synchronization across secure, remote assets for complex missions in military, space and critical infrastructure environments. National and regional programs are now underway in key countries to evaluate the best resilient timing solutions for these critical programs.
Today’s mission priorities are more challenging than ever, requiring pinpoint precision between air, land and sea components across vast distances and in harsh, remote locations. Beyond the need to securely connect a diverse network of elements, the latest standards for high stakes and high security programs are shifting toward new PNT technologies such as sub-nanosecond and dispersed, redundant time synchronization, as well as non-GNSS based alternatives to better protect these operations from GNSS-related threats.
Resilient timing and synchronization technologies are also enhancing the latest high performance radars, sonars, optronics and other situational awareness assets as part of the next generation of resilient ISR and mission support capabilities.

Rodger H. Hosking is vice-president and co-founder of Pentek, Inc. where he is responsible for new product definition, technology development and strategic alliances. With over 30 years in the electronics industry, he has authored hundreds of articles about software radio and digital signal processing. Prior to his current position, he served as engineering manager at Wavetek/Rockland, and holds patents in frequency synthesis and spectrum analysis techniques. He holds a BS degree in Physics from Allegheny College in Pennsylvania and BSEE and MSEE degrees from Columbia University in New York.
Americas Tech, Seven Solutions
Francisco is the Americas Tech at Seven Solutions. He holds a Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Granada. After some time in the private sector, Francisco joined the Timing Keepers group at the same university as a researcher. During his research, he specialized in ultra-accurate time transfer systems and he focused on the development of the White Rabbit technology. Currently, he combines his work for Seven Solutions with his studies for a PhD in Telecommunications Engineering. This combination has provided Francisco with a strong technical background in High Accuracy time synchronization and deep knowledge on timing applications in industrial sectors.

Hironori (Hiro) Sasaki has over 17 years of experience in advanced Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) capabilities and network communication systems for Government and Military organizations around the world. In his previous role at L3Harris, he managed portfolios that supported military soldier communications and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions. Hiro joined Orolia in 2014, leading organizational growth, expansion of solutions, and U.S. program pursuit, establishing Orolia as a leader in PNT technologies. In 2018, he was instrumental in the establishment of Orolia Defense & Security (ODS), an independently controlled, proxy-regulated U.S. company. ODS is approved to work on the full spectrum of U.S. Government classified and unclassified projects and actively supports strategic partnerships in the development of key PNT technologies for the U.S. defense market. Hiro holds a BS in Computer and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from the University of Rochester Simon School of Business.
