Workshop on Synchronization and Timing Systems brings together the leading corporate and government experts to shed light on the diverse and exciting needs for sync and timing innovation. In 2021, WSTS was held virtually and successfully reached more than 550 attendees from 40 countries and 174 organizations.

David Sohn, Senior Solutions Architect, Orolia

David Sohn is a Senior Solution Architect at Orolia, designing and developing solutions leveraging the organization’s precision timing solution portfolio, including their flagship SecureSync and VersaSync products, and contributing to its entire portfolio of resilient PNT solutions. He has more than 15 years of experience designing, developing, and managing precision timing solutions and holds a BS in computer engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.

High Accuracy Time Distribution In Telecom: Why and Where?

Francisco Girela Lopez, Americas Tech Representative, Orolia

Francisco is the Americas WR Tech Responsible at Orolia. He holds a Ph.D. in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Granada. After some time in the private sector, Francisco joined the Timing Keepers group at the same university as a researcher. During his research, he specialized in ultra-accurate time transfer systems, and he focused on the development of the White Rabbit technology. During the last few years, Francisco has led the expansion of White Rabbit High Accuracy timing in the North American market and in the finance sector with Orolia (former Seven Solutions). His latest work involves the deployment of very long distance WR links and the integration of the HATI core in third party FPGA based devices.
