Accurate and resilient timing is essential for critical applications. It is the fundamental requirement to synchronize operations. But what do you do when your GPS receiver is in a basement and underground, with marginal availability of GNSS signals?
This was a challenge for GMV, a global technology corporation that produces WANTime time service for the city of Madrid, Spain. They decided to test Orolia’s DISA-approved SecureSync® network timing and synchronization platform together with Satelles’ STL Satellite Time and Location Service to determine whether this combination of resources could serve as a backup when GNSS signals were unavailable.
