During the GADSSThe Global Aeronautical Distress and Safety System is an aircraft tracking technology that is responsible for tracking the location and status of the aircraft throughout all phases flight. GADSS main functions are: aircraft tracking, autonomous distress tracking, post flight localization and recovery. Solutions webinar on December 9th at 2.00 pm (CET), Mr. Emmanuel Sicsik-Paré, Strategic Product Manager at Orolia, will present Ultima-DT, a fixed Emergency Locator Transmitter – Distress Tracking type, specially designed and manufactured by Orolia to meet the ICAO GADSS ADT requirement which will be applicable in January 2023.
Ultima-DT has been developed through the Helios project led by Orolia and funded by the European GNSSGlobal navigation satellite system (GNSS): A general term describing any satellite constellation that provides positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) services on a global or regional basis. The Helios project was designed to introduce a complete range of Next-Generation beacons on the market to be compliant with ICAO’s GADSS Autonomous Distress Tracking requirements.
