NetClock 9200 and 9300 Product Support

Spectracom’s previous generations time server / master clock, NetClock 9200/9300 series is end-of-life.

The discontinued models include:
  • NetClock model 9283/9383 NENA-compliant master clock
  • NetClock model 9289/9389 time server
  • Model 9288/9388 time server add-on for NetClock

In general, SecureSync is the recommended successor product.

NetClock 9400 Compatibility

For ease of program continuity, we have mapped features of previous NetClock models to the currently available 9400 series.

Warranty: 5 years (some restrictions apply)

Current application software: 3.6.7

Support policy: Support is expected to be available until December 2020. However, no updates to software or firmware versions will be made. Product support will include technical assistance for installation, documentation, and repair or replacement with functionally equivalent units.

NetClock 9300 Series Discontinuance Notice

The NetClock 9300 series went end-of-life on January 5, 2015. Limited support is available.

NTP (Network Time Protocol) and SNTP (Simple Network Time Protocol) are very similar TCP/IP protocols in that they use the same time packet from a Time Server message to compute accurate time. The procedure used by the Time Server to assemble and send out a time stamp is exactly the same whether NTP (i.e. full implementation NTP) is being used, or if SNTP is being used.
