The SecureSync is Spectracom's latest generation time and frequency reference system in a 1RU chassis.

It supports virtually every timing function for a wide variety of synchronization applications. It includes a choice of many internal oscillators, support for GPS and other GNSS satellite navigation signals, a high performance NTP server, many network management features and physical input and output signals via over 40 modules and several software options.

NetClock 9400 Series

The same software and hardware platform is used for Spectracom's latest generation NENA-compliant master clock and time server products – the NetClock 9400 series.

Support Bulletins

Spectre and Meltdown Vulnerabilities (CVE-2016-5715, CVE-2017-5753, CVE-2017-5754)

Spectracom products are only susceptible if an attacker can successfully authenticate with the product and gain command line shell access. Malware is required to be run locally within the system to exploit these vulnerabilities. The SecureSync and NetClock are not susceptible to attacks based on the Meltdown vulnerabilities.  The 5.8.0 release resolves the remaining Spectre vulnerabilities.

Under some circumstances, clearing logs and stats from SecureSync or NetClock 9400 via the Web UI require a second step in order to achieve an optimum restoration of disk space. If you have been instructed to do so, use this Disk Cleanup Patch that can be uploaded and run from within the Web UI. This Patch will clean items that are not user accessible otherwise.

NTP (Network Time Protocol) and SNTP (Simple Network Time Protocol) are very similar TCP/IP protocols in that they use the same time packet from a Time Server message to compute accurate time. The procedure used by the Time Server to assemble and send out a time stamp is exactly the same whether NTP (i.e. full implementation NTP) is being used, or if SNTP is being used.

The NTP over Anycast feature is a combination of the time server’s ability to associate one of its network ports to an Anycast IP address and to remove itself as an available time source if there is a problem with its reference.
